Leadership Training in Philanthropic Fundraising
Trustees and Staff of the eighteen member and branch Libraries of the Chester County Library system recently gathered for a leadership training session conducted by FHC Senior Member, Roberta Healey.
In a county experiencing rapid population growth supported, in part, by public funds the libraries face the dual pressures of the need for increased service to patrons and declining public funding.
Library leadership understands that strong programs of philanthropic fundraising will help strengthen and improve the programs while establishing a broad and sound financial base.
The seminar provided an overview of philanthropic fundraising and specific tactical steps leadership can implement to integrate philanthropic fundraising into the program and culture of the libraries.
